Shine On is the Independent Mental Health Network‘s suicide prevention and awareness campaign.

Shine On is all about bringing people and organisations together from across the South Gloucestershire, Bristol and North Somerset areas to tackle the issue of suicide and raise awareness of the support available.

Suicide is a complex issue.

Latest news – West of England Suicide Prevention Summit 2021

What has the campaign achieved so far?

  • kick-started multiple suicide prevention and awareness initiatives via the Suicide Prevention Awareness Fund
  • hosted two annual Suicide Prevention Summits, bringing together people from a range of backgrounds to discuss the issue and how we can address suicide together
  • run a number of local events, from panel discussions to film screenings, shining a light on the topic of suicide prevention in a different way
