This Pride month, why not take the opportunity to boost your mental health and wellbeing? There are many ways in which events like Pride can be beneficial – from providing much-needed representation for young LGBTQ+ people, to shining a spotlight on allies you may not even know you had. There are many events this Pride Month that you can attend – click here to see a list across the country.

This Mental Health Awareness Week is themed around Anxiety. We know that anxiety can be difficult to deal with – but the good news is there are often things we can do to make things a bit easier on ourselves. Check back throughout the week for more content around anxiety and what IMHN is doing this Mental Health Awareness Week!

Support for Anxiety

The most important thing to remember is that you are not alone. There are many organisations you can contact for support.

Greater Manchester IMHN Peer Support Directory

Find out about peer support available for anxiety in the Greater Manchester area.

Anxiety UK

Anxiety UK operate a telephone helpline, open Mondays to Fridays between 9.30am and 5.30pm (excluding bank holidays) on 03444 775774. They also operate an email support service during these hours at , or you can text them on 07537 416 905.

The Kaleidoscope+ Group Crisis Text Line

Trained volunteers are on-hand to provide support to people in crisis via text, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Text ‘TeamKPG’ to 85258. They provide urgent support.

A UK-wide database of mental health support. Visit the site for more information.

No more panic

A website for those suffering with OCD, panic disorders and anxiety, which also provides a chat room and support. Visit the site for more information.
