This role is open to all living in either of the Bristol, North Somerset or South Gloucestershire areas.
The Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Mental Health & Wellbeing Cell is a partnership structure of local organisations that have come together to address and respond to the mental health and wellbeing needs of the local population that have resulted from the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Beneath the Cell sit a series of subgroups, referred to as ‘levels.’ Each level refers to a different part of the local mental health system. The Level 3 subgroup focuses on specialist mental health support within primary care. This is the part of the mental health system where the ‘gap’ between primary and secondary mental health care exists.
Part of Level 3’s work involves bringing together leads from local counselling services to share information and address the impact of COVID-19 on the sector. The group is looking for a person to join the group and bring a lived experience perspective.
Please note – the services involved in this group will include domestic abuse / sexual abuse support services.
The time commitment will be based around frequency of meetings – this is anticipated to be one meeting every fortnight that lasts an hour and a half. Additionally, to support you, we would arrange a catchup with you each fortnight to act as a debrief. We are able to pay a rate of £12 per hour for time attending these sessions.
Please express your interest by 5pm on Wednesday 7 October.
