Support for abusive situations

If you are in a situation where you are at imminent risk of harm or danger, call 999 and ask for the police. If you are unable to talk on the phone, call 999 and then press 55. This will transfer your call to the police who will assist you without you having to speak.

 

 

Each (Educational Action Challenging Homophobia) Helpline

EACH provides a free and confidential, homophobic, biphobic or transphobic bullying reporting service for children and young people up to 18 years of age. If you have been a target of this type of bullying you can call their free Helpline on 0808 1000 143 (available Mondays to Fridays between 9am and 4:30pm). Click here for more information. Galop National LGBT+ Domestic Abuse Helpline

Emotional and practical support for LGBT+ people experiencing domestic abuse. Their helpline is open between 10am and 5pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays; and between 10am and 8pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Mankind – Male Victims of Domestic Abuse

Mankind’s confidential helpline is available for male victims of domestic abuse and male victims of domestic violence across the UK. They support men suffering from domestic abuse from their current or former wife or partner (including same-sex partner). The helpline is open Mondays to Fridays between 10am and 4pm. The number is 01823 334244.

National Domestic Abuse Helpline (Refuge)

This is a helpline staffed by trained advisers, who provide a listening service. The line is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The freephone number is 0808 2000 247. For more information about the service, click here.
