Apps

This page lists the details of some apps that you can download to your smartphone or tablet, or access on your computer. These apps provide advice, information or support regarding mental health and wellbeing. Please note that inclusion of an app on this page does not constitute an endorsement of the app’s effectiveness; the information on this page has been ‘crowd-sourced’ and submitted to us.

 

Coronavirus Support App

This free app aims to be a one-stop guide to help people cope during the coronavirus pandemic. It can provide information about the coronavirus, advice for people shielding, and tips on how to self-care. Currently, the app provides information relating to the Bristol area only, but will grow to cover areas across the country. Self Injury Support, a local organisation supporting women and girls who self-harm, have been involved in developing the app. For more information, click here.

Liberate Meditation App

Liberate Meditation have partnered with the NHS to provide staff with free access to this meditation and mindfulness app. The app offers culturally sensitive and diverse meditations, curated for the BAME community, by the BAME community, aiming to reduce anxiety, alleviate stress and promote rest. Click here for more information; NHS staff can create an account using their NHS email addresses, and then download the app from either the iOS App Store or the Android App Store.

Rethink’s Coronavirus Information and Support Hub

Rethink have set up an online information hub, providing practical support and information that is useful for people living with mental illness, or their carers. It also provides updates about changes to the law or policy can affect you. Click here to access it.

Talk Clubs

Talk Club is an online talking and listening club for men; a support network for ways to keep mentally fit. Talk Club operate virtual groups, with more and more going online across the UK. Click here for more information.
