We are a community for people with lived experience of mental health to campaign for change.
The Independent Mental Health Network (IMHN) is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation, and is governed by a legal document known as a constitution. We are also a member-led organisation, and so every year, an Annual General Meeting (AGM) is held. At this meeting, the overall work of the organisation is discussed, including successes and achievements since the last AGM, plans for the future, and elections to the Board of Trustees are held.
IMHN’s AGM for 2019 will take place on Monday 11 November 2019 in Bristol City Centre. If you are a member of IMHN or one of its branches, you will have received an email with specific meeting information.
If you think you should have received this email but haven’t, please contact us at engagement[at]imhn.org.

The Board of Trustees of the Independent Mental Health Network (‘IMHN’) has launched a governance review, to ensure that elements of the constitution and bye-laws are fit for purpose, and to gauge perception of some amendments intended to benefit the running of the organisation.
This week, the Board of Trustees of IMHN have published a consultation survey, asking all those involved with IMHN (and its various branches) their thoughts on some elements of how the organisation is run. Additionally, there are some amendments that the board has proposed, that it believes is in the best interests of the organisation, and better positions IMHN for the future, particularly considering the planned expansion and growth intended to take place over the next three years.
Members of IMHN, associate members, branch committee members, trustees, supporters, and representatives are all being encouraged to make their views heard. If you are a member and have not yet received information regarding the governance review, please contact us.
